Non-Clinical Research Programmes
Wellcome Trust 4 year DPhil programmes
A number of these exist in a range of disciplines, including infection and immunity. The first year includes a set of placements to provide training and exposure, and leading to a 4 year DPhil placement within a lab. These are highly competitive, with 5 places available annually.
NDM Prize studentships
These are 4 year DPhils in programmes across the department. They are not pre-allocated to a specific specialty or lab, but are competed for across the board. They are also available to non-EU students. For more info go to graduate admissions.
Doctoral Training Centre Programme
The Division has recently established the Medical Sciences Graduate School to guide applicants and ensure that students get the best possible supervision and training. Applicants are strongly advised to use the Graduate School website to help them identify the most suitable programme and supervisors.
