Neisseria gonorrhoeae

Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. There are growing concerns about the spread of antibiotic resistant strains of infection. We are developing methods to study transmission of gonorrhoea. This will allow us to understand better how to target sexual health education messages and also to map the spread of resistance.
