Introduction to the Academic Endoscopy Group
Oxford University Hospitals undertake 25,000 endoscopies each year and our aim is to offer all our patients the opportunity to participate in research, should they wish.
The endoscopy unit at the JR has five procedure rooms (the sixth is under construction) with cutting –edge endoscope equipment.
The endoscopy unit offers the full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including video capsule endoscopy, EUS, ERCP, RFA. The unit attracts endoscopists from the UK and abroad who want to upskill their endoscopy techniques or learn specific new endoscopic methods.
