NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) Scheme

 Trainee Involvement

The Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit (ORTU) is committed to supporting trainees who wish to engage with our portfolio of respiratory clinical studies. We actively support the NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) Scheme and work closely with the NIHR to ensure that trainees are appropriately recognised for their contribution to research delivery.

The NIHR Associate PI Scheme is a nationally recognised programme designed to develop the site investigators of the future. Trainees who register and successfully meet the NIHR requirements will receive formal certification for their professional portfolio.

We welcome trainees from all relevant disciplines who are interested in gaining practical experience in clinical research within respiratory medicine.

To find out more about the Associate PI Scheme, including opportunities for collaborative authorship within specific ORTU studies, please contact the relevant study team listed below.
