BRC

ORTU works in close collaboration with the Oxford NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, which has a specific Respiratory Theme, covering airways disease, pleural disease and interstitial lung disease.

The BRC’s mission is to provide research infrastructure permitting biomedical innovation and early translational and experimental medicine research, with a view to translation of scientific discoveries. Our relationship with the BRC is thus critical, enabling early phase studies to be conducted, but also scientific discoveries within the Universities substantial fundamental and translational science capability to be assessed using human samples and eventually in clinical trials.
