My Research
I work on the REHAB project, which aims to understand the dynamics of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) using a large, environmental sample of Enterobacteriaceae isolates and associated plasmids. This family of bacteria frequently carry and exchange AMR-conferring genes of high clinical significance. I use and develop genomic tools to understand their role in AMR spread. This also includes more fundamental questions about plasmid evolution and biology.
