Academic Clinical Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine

Dr Hallifax is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer the University of Oxford. He studied an MSc in Natural Sciences in Cambridge before training in medicine at the University of Oxford.

He won an MRC Clinical Training Fellowship for his DPhil: "Understanding Pneumothorax: epidemiology, physiology and outcomes", and published the results in JAMA and Thorax.

Dr Hallifax is the trial coordinator for RAMPP (Randomised Ambulatory Management of Primary Pneumothorax) - a multi-centre trial of 24 sites around the UK – which has now completed recruitment. He is trained in thoracoscopy, advanced pleural ultrasound and clinical trials methodology
