  • My research area is evaluation of C. difficile surveillance strategies, which will involve analysing healthcare and surveillance data to quantify the effect of testing rates on apparent prevalence, using transmission modelling to assess the effectiveness of alternative surveillance strategies and evaluating those options using cost-utility analysis. I am based in the HCAI & AMR modelling & evaluation team in UKHSA.
  • My background is in public policy, having worked in central government as an economist and policy advisor for over 15 years.
  • Most of my work has been on environment, energy and climate change, though I recently worked in UKHSA on procurement and regulation of tests for COVID-19, having completed an MSc in Public Health at LSHTM.
