Natasha MartinNatasha Martin

Natasha Martin is an NIHR Postdoctoral Fellow based in the Department of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol and the Department of Global Health and Development, LSHTM.  Her current research interests lie with the mathematic modeling of hepatitis C and HIV prevention among people who inject drugs. Specifically, the majority of her work centres on modeling the impact, cost-effectiveness, and optimal program delivery of HCV treatment as prevention.

Dr Martin is involved with work strand 7: Development of clinical decision making algorithms.

Peter VickermanPeter Vickerman

Peter Vickerman is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Social and Community Medicine, University of Bristol. His research has focused on the use of mathematical modelling, with detailed epidemiological, biological and behavioural data, to help understand and explore the transmission of different infectious diseases and the impact and cost-effectiveness of prevention measures. Specific expertise focuses on modelling the transmission of HIV and other STIs amongst different risk groups and blood bourne viruses transmitted between injecting drug users.

Dr Vickerman is involved with work strand 7: Development of clinical decision making algorithms.

The Bio-medical Research Council (BRC), a part of the Oxford Hospital Radcliffe Trust (OHRT), funds research and many of our staff are involved in BRC research.

Our research is funded from a variety of funders. Their support allows our research to focus on the basic and clinical research domains to accelerate knowledge translation from the bedside to the bench, and back again.
