Alec MinersAlec Miners

Alec Miners is a Senior Lecturer in Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene and Topical Medicine. His research interests lie in the areas of decision analysis, economic evaluation and public health. He uses decision modelling to estimate the cost effectiveness of therapeutic treatments in the area of infectious disease. 

Dr Miners is involved with work strand 7: Development of clinical decision making algorithms.

The Bio-medical Research Council (BRC), a part of the Oxford Hospital Radcliffe Trust (OHRT), funds research and many of our staff are involved in BRC research.

Our research is funded from a variety of funders. Their support allows our research to focus on the basic and clinical research domains to accelerate knowledge translation from the bedside to the bench, and back again.
