Listen to TWiM reveal how we collected thousands of Mycobaterium tuberculosis samples from patients worldwide with each sample being sequenced so we knew its entire genome and also being tested for susceptibility to 13 different antibiotics. This project, called CRyPTIC, allowed us and other researchers to map out many of the genetic mutations that confer antibiotic resistance in tuberculosis, which is a difficult disease to treat.

This episode features the CRyPTIC project, and the amazing work of Zooniverse volunteers that resulted in our MMM PPIEP Bash the Bug website, amongst other relevant projects.
