Biography

Yang is a DPhil student in the Leedham Lab at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics. Her research focuses on epithelial–mesenchymal–immune interdependence in intestinal regeneration and neoplasia, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic targets for inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.


Prior to starting her DPhil, Yang completed her undergraduate medical training at Central South University, where she ranked first in her cohort and developed a strong research interest in gastrointestinal diseases.
