BIOGRAPHY

Beatriz Camesella-Perez is the Senior Gastroenterology Research Manager at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she leads multidisciplinary research teams and oversees the delivery of a broad portfolio of clinical research.

Beatriz brings over twenty years of international experience spanning clinical research, public health, and humanitarian health programme management. Prior to joining Oxford, she held research roles at the University of Oxford, the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and the Burnet Institute in Australia, contributing to studies in population allergy, infectious diseases, and viral hepatitis. She additionally has an extensive background with international organisations including Médecins Sans Frontières, Oxfam, and the Australian Red Cross, where she led or contributed to emergency health assessments, public health interventions, and programme evaluation across Africa, Latin America, and the Asia‑Pacific

Beatriz holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and brings expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, research operations, trial management, and stakeholder engagement, alongside a Bachelor of Nursing and formal qualifications in French Studies and African Civilisation, and pedagogical competence. Fluent in five languages, she is committed to advancing high‑quality, ethical and impactful research that improves patient care and public health outcomes.
