Helen Brown
Research Assistant
After obtaining my degree in Cell and Molecular Biology I started work as a Research Assistant at the Welcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics in Oxford. The group were investigating which genes are involved in depression and anxiety.
I then moved to the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogenic Research to work on the immunologic responses of HIV. I am currently involved in the RIVER trial where we are trying to understand how to achieve a functional cure for HIV using the ‘Kick and Kill’ approach to reduce/eradicate the HIV reservoir.
