Clinical Research Fellow
Gareth is undertaking a PhD in airway immunology at the Nuffield Department of Medicine. His research examines the role of IL-17A in severe airways disease and his translational work combines clinical samples from patients with innovative investigative in vitro lab techniques. As part of this work he set up a large observational study in Oxford for patients with severe airways disease. He was awarded a prize Oxford-UCB Fellowship to undertake this research. His PhD supervisors are Dr Timothy Hinks and Prof Ian Pavord.
Otherwise he is a respiratory doctor working on the wards and in clinic.
