Gastrointestinal Illness Biobanker

cloe-vassart.jpgCloe is French, but grew up in Australia and she earned a BSc Honours degree in Human and Medical Sciences in London.  She then followed this up with an MRes in Translational Cancer Medicine from Kings College London in 2014.

Cloe's role in the TGU involves having been in charge of Genomics England's "100,000 Genomes project" as well as GI patient recruitment on the colorectal cancer side.

Cloe really enjoys the patient contact aspect of her job which is great since she is one of our first patient contact-points. She is involved in collecting samples from patients (Cloe is a trained phelbotomist) as well as assisting James Chivenge with patient recruitement and sample collection for the TGU Biobank.

"I like that my job is different every day. I find my job very satisfying." - Cloe 2016
