Resection of large pedunculated rectal polyp with preinjection and clips followed by roth net retrieval
East JE.
Large pedunculated polyps in the colon and rectum represent a challenge to the endoscopist to resect in a controlled and safe manner. How stalk preinjection with epinephrine (adrenaline) can help avoiding immediate postpolypectomy bleeding has been demonstrated in the given video. Endoscopic clips are applied to the polyp base following polypectomy to reduce the risk of delayed bleeding. Retrieval with a Roth net is also demonstrated.
