The Patient and Public Involvement, Engagement and Participation Committee consists of representatives including members of the general public and representatives of MMM team is led by the PPIEP Lead and supported by the Coordinator.

Its aim is to ensure that the research addresses the needs and concerns of the local communities and its results are appropriately communicated, by providing input at all stages of the research cycle and co-designing the Patient and Public Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation strategy and activities.

It is responsible for coordinating and supporting the activities of the MMM research team, and for the implementation of the PPIEP Strategy and activities.

Would you like to get involved?

We are looking for NHS patients and members of the public to share their opinions. We need help with:

  • Making sure their research addresses the needs and concerns of local communities
  • Designing activities with patients and the public
  • Deciding how to share research results with the public

What would I need to do?

You don’t need any special knowledge to get involved, but you need to be able to either attend a  two-hour meeting every about every four months or speak to a member of the team, and be happy to share your opinions.
