Scientist working in lab

There are opportunities for clinical Research Fellows to come to Oxford through local, national and international grants. Locally-linked grants include support for research between Australia and Oxford (OVID: Oxford-St Vincents Intestinal Disease research) and the Lee Min Yap Memorial Fund. The Lee Placito Memorial fund and the Pharsalia Trust have made generous contributions to establishing the Sidney Truelove Chair in Gastroenterology and research laboratories. National grants from the UK (MRC, DDF, NHSBT), Canada (CIHR, CHUM Montréal), Italy (Rotary Foundation), Belgium (Liège), Kuwait (Al-Jubriya) and Portugal (Gaia Hospital) amongst others have supported clinical and research fellows. International grants from ECCO (Fellowships, Grants & Travel Awards) and IOIBD have also provided valuable support. For those with a license to practice in the UK, the Oxford University Hospitals Trust funds four Senior Clinical Fellowships in Gastroenterology through competitive application.
